Up for sale is my Blancpain Leman Flyback Chronograph Limited Edition (#130 of 250 in the world) in Rose Gold for 11.3K. It comes with the Blancpain box and manufacture booklet. MSRP was approx $24k and it has fetched $20K USD at a Christie’s auction (link here).
This exceedingly rare watch came up on the forum at the end of 2018 and I couldn’t resist it’s stunning beauty. Prior to acquiring this watch, I didn’t think I’d be up for wearing gold, but It’s changed my tastes in watches and fashion. At 38mm, this gold chronograph with “stepped bezel” glows warmly and exudes class and sophistication without appearing ostentatious. It can also be dressed down easily as it’s a sports chronograph with boldly lumed arabic numerals. I’ve worn it about half the time dressed up with the beautiful Blancpain reddish-brown mahogany strap and the other half the time with a custom sporty red strap casually. I also wore it at my wedding. Sad to see it go, but I recently acquired a gold Lange (my grail brand) and in an effort to be fiscally responsible, it may be time to let this go.
This Blancpain is equipped with the beautifully finished F185 Frederic Piguet movement and Rose Gold Rotor visible through the exhibition display back. This movement is also found in the VC overseas and the AP chronograph. This classic column wheel chronograph functions very smoothly and accurately.
I acquired this gold chronograph from a great CWC forum member “timetraveller” (his sale posting is here), who had in turn purchased it from a C-List celebrity in the U.S. Since I purchased the watch, it’s been worn with great care. Immediately before selling to me, timetraveller, brought the watch into Little Shoppe of Horology in Mississauga (link to shop here) to check the condition of the watch for me (including beat rate, amplitude, beat error) and they found it to be functioning well (see results in the photo with the box/manual). Note that the watch is in used condition and does have hairline scratches that are visible under harsh lighting and disappear in softer lighting. Photos linked above are taken as of the date of the posting with an Sony A7III Macro Lenses under moderately harsh lighting to provide greater detail (with the exception of the last 3-4 taken over the past year).
Sale in Toronto is preferred (w/ Covid-19 precautions). Please contact me if you have any questions and for references (search CWC for gheffo and you will see more feedback). Thank you for interest and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
