You won’t come across this full-set very often. An all-original Breitling Jupiter Pilot Chronograph Ref A59028 on original Jupiter steel bracelet Ref 194A, in remarkably preserved condition rarely found, functioning flawlessly, with original Breitling bakelite inner box and Breitling fighter jet outer box , Breitling wing pin, booklets and papers showing matching serial number. My understanding is that this is one of the later or last-produced Jupiter Pilot models, its predecessor having the round date window as opposed to the squared date aperture like this one.
This Breitling has the black dial with silver sub-dials. All sub-dials zero precisely. The bracelet should comfortably fit a 7.5’ wrist. There is also a folded expansion link built into the underside of the clasp which, when extended, adds the equivalent of about two links’ length to the bracelet.
There are no gouges or deep scratches on the case or bracelet, only light surface scratches or swirlies from normal, careful wear that can easily be polished out by your watchmaker, although hardly necessary and not recommended as, on the wrist, this Breitling looks fantastic as is. The bezel is in remarkably good condition for its age. Bezels on these Breitling models are often found in badly worn condition, but not on this one. There is a small ding on the bezel perimeter at 220 degrees (7 o’clock) which is visible in the photo, although I find it hardly noticeable unless one is looking for it.
The operating manual is not available, however complete printed operating instructions will accompany the sale. One of the features of this model is an alarm function. I have not tested the alarm (nor do I plan to) and make no statement accordingly.

This was the original ‘Navitimer’ model that eventually morphed into the modern Navitimer. The family resemblance is obvious, and this Jupiter Pilot wears stunningly. Perfect case size at 41.5, and not thick-as-a brick at only 11m in height so it wears beautifully under shirt sleeves and is very sharp with a business-suit.
