Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute Blue Dial Special Edition. The watch is in like new condition with Breitling oem film still attached to case side, lugs, and caseback. It comes with original unworn OEM Breitling Blue Alligator Strap with unworn Breitling deployant clasp and all Breitling OEM accoutrements, boxes, and papers.

Canadian Watch bought new from the Birks Breitling Boutique in Ottawa with all the Canadian paperwork which helps when you travel because you can point the customs officer to the fact that it was bought in Canada on the warranty card.

KEY POINT: this watch has the "gold wings" logo which is discontinued (the Breitling watchmaker I spoke with said many collectors come in and lament the missing wings now that all new watches only come with the Breitling "B")

KEY POINT: a true Navitimer with real historical Space provenance astronaut Scott Carpenter asked Breitling to make it specifically for him with the manual wind movement and orbited the Earth three times aboard the Aurora 7 wearing one:

"Malcom Scott Carpenter (May 1, 1925 – October 10, 2013), is the reason why we have the Breitling Cosmonaute as we know it today. He was one of the original astronauts selected to be part of NASA’s Project Mercury in April of 1959, After wearing his 12-hour Navitimer during his time as a combat pilot in the Korean War, he suggested that Breitling produce a Navitimer with a 24-hour dial. Breitling registered the name "Cosmonaute" in 1961, and in 1962, a modified Navitimer with a 24-hour dial was the first Breitling to go to space. The Cosmonaute was manufactured in the early to mid-1960s with various dial configurations, bezel combinations, logos, and metals."
