For sale is my LNIB Limited Box Set, Alpina Startimer Pilot Reference AL-P525B4S6/B, complete with both the unused bracelet and a very lightly used Leather Strap with Aplina depolyment clasp. This limited edition set was limited to 8888 pieces, however I believe that far less than that came in this particular "full" kit, featuring the Alpina Model Plane, bracelet and leather strap. The non-limited edition, is currently on sale on the Aplina website for about ~1750cad, and this does not include the bracelet, which is one of the nicest bracelets I've had my hands on, nor does it include the extremely useful Alpina plane. This limited edition set retails for over 2k. The movement features a 38hour power reserve, and runs at 28,800bph. The watch is 44mm in diameter, 22mm lug width, and water resistant to 100m making it an ideal every day watch. There are little marks here and there, even on the bracelet despite not being worn, however the overall condition is 9.5+/10
While Alpina may be a lesser known history to some, their horilogical history dates back to 1883, with a rich history competing with brands such as A.Lange and Sohne, who actually took Aplina to court (unsuccessfully) in the early 1900s. Furthermore, their history is closely tied to military watches during ww2, and have been well known for the various lines of Pilot watches, such as the one being offered today.
