For sale is my 4.8 Million S/N Omega Speedmaster Professional. The watch is in great condition and has only small marks under the lugs from strap changes and light typical wear marks elsewhere....but really in very very nice shape. All timekeeping and chrono functions work as new. The watch was recently sent to an Omega authorized service center and it had a full service including replacing the crystal and hands; the watch currently runs +5 sec per day on the wrist.
If you look closely at the movement pictures you will notice it contains some elements of the Cal 861 and some of the Cal. 1861. As others I have seen of this era, it was produced during the transition period between the two movements (ca. 1997-1998). It contains the Delryn brake, 18th jewel, and is marked as 'Eighteen Jewels' per Cal 1861, yet has the rose gold coloring and markings of an 861. Please note the watch case has not been opened since it returned from service (this photo is from previous owner). Hesalite crysal has correct Omega logo in middle.
The is currently mounted on an Omega 1498/840 bracelet sized to 7.5". The watch does not have boxes or papers (other than the service paperwork from previous owner).
Asking $2050 plus $30 for insured shipping in Canada. Will consider trade for Omega Planet Ocean (Black on S/s).
I have references on Ebay as 'zulugunner'.
