Sold FS: Rolex Day-Date 1803 YG Head Only

For sale is my Rolex Day-Date 1803 in YG with a 25 mil serial, which dates back to 1970-72.

This watch is offered as head only. I would like to highlight that this is more of a "wear it as-is" or a project watch for someone interested.

This watch was a hand down from a family member back in 2021. I do not know the ownership history, but it was serviced by a professional watchmaker in Dec 2021 under my possession, and then put away for the past three years for most of the time.

I would personally rate the condition of this watch “fair” or "average". Some notable things I would like to bring to your attention:

• The watch has been previously polished (likely more than once), and shows wear & tear that of a 55 year old watch.
• Sometimes, the watch skips two dates overnight. It may be the date disc, or another part that needs adjustment.
• The watch runs decent, at -6 seconds a day.

I believe this watch is suitable for someone wants throw a nice leather or suede strap on it, and simply appreciate the vintage-ness of it without caring too much about all the little details. I do not believe the watch needs a service in the short to medium term, unless you'd like to fix the date issue.
