Up for sale is a beautiful Rolex Submariner Date 16610. This is a catch and release for me, was purchased from a reputable CWC member in Feb 2018 here: http://canwatchco.ca/showthread.php...bmariner-(just-back-from-RSC)&highlight=16610 . I've been hunting this watch for a long time but it turns out I still like my Explorer more, so I'm letting it go.
This watch was just serviced by RSC Toronto on Jan 31, 2018 and comes with full service documentation, card, pouch, cloth, and service booklet as shown. It was requested NOT to be polished during service, but I'm unsure of the previous history.
This is a rarely seen full kit with all the goodies shown in the photos. When the watch arrived it seemed to be missing an extra link (I'm not even sure if this is the case!), so just in case I purchased a matching authentic 93250 link from Detroit Watchworks just for the sake of completing "the kit". This is shown in the first photo and will be included.
This is a Y-serial and contains the rare combination of both LUG HOLES and SOLID END LINKS. Solid end link bracelets were produced after 2001, while the lug holes were discontinued in 2003... IMO you get the best of both worlds with this reference and it was something I spent a long time looking for.
It's in beautiful condition but there's a scratch on the crystal near the 1 o'clock marker which I've circled in red. It's pretty hard to photograph and very hard to see with the naked eye in most angles since it falls right on top of the 1 o'clock marker when looking at it head on or on the wrist.
Price is $7950 FIRM. This is exactly what I paid for the watch (the extra link was on top of that), and I would rather keep the watch than to lose any more money on it at the moment.
Would prefer a FTF deal in Greater Vancouver, but can ship Parcel Pro at the buyer's expense if I do not get any interest from locals.
