Up for grabs is a beautiful vintage Submariner Date 1680. I picked this piece up on the forum in 2016. The serial number is 5.6 M which dates the watch to approximately 1978. Looks pretty fantastic for a 40+ year old piece; there are the expected small scratches but no significant dings or dents. It was serviced by Rolex in 2016 (service card will be included). The hands are luminova service replacements from that time; the bezel insert was also replaced. Thankfully the Mk II dial remains original with light patina on the tritium indices. Watch has run within COSC specs for the five years I’ve owned it.
The watch comes mounted on a newer 93150 bracelet with 501b end links. The clasp code is CL which dates the bracelet to ~ 2004. The bracelet has 11 links which should fit up to a 7 1/4” wrist. There is minimal stretch as shown in the photos. No box is included, the only paper is the service card from 2016.
The modern bracelet and service hands make it a very wearable watch and a great chance to get into vintage without paying collector grade prices.
I have numerous positive references on the forum so buy with confidence.
Offered at $13 000 including overnight insured Flagship shipping.
