For sale is my vintage Omega Seamaster Chronometer dating to circa 1969. This is a beautiful piece... i'm not sure that my lousy photography captures the beauty of this one.
These watches are rather uncommon. In this period most of the chronometers Omega was producing were in the Constellation line. This particular reference has the added attraction of having a great size and wrist presence for a vintage piece.
case - reference 168.022 / 166.028. 36.5mm without crown. in good vintage condition. one significant ding on the 11 o'clock lug. (see photos)
dial + hands - 'sparkle' dial and hands in original condition... this example has no lume which is rare and gives the dial a clean look.
crystal - signed hesalite in great condition
movement - cal 564. omega also made sparkle dial Seamasters with 7XX and 1XXX movements which are far less desirable than the venerable 564.
crown - signed original
watch is currently on a bespoke Jones in Tokyo Epsom leather strap. strap is included in the price... but negotiable... i am happy to keep it and discount the sale accordingly.
lastly, i believe the watch requires a service... i was going to service the watch and list higher... but decided to list 'as is' at a lower price and let the buyer service the watch with their own trusted watchmaker.
asking $1975 obo including shipping and insurance. any questions or requests for additional photos please don't hesitate to PM me. imgur link if having difficulty viewing photos https://imgur.com/a/riMMT
