Up selling one of the watches from my collection. Xemex Offroad Bauhaus Automatic Chronograhh Chronometer Ref. 1000. 05

Xemex is a Swiss watch manufacturer and was founded 1996 by Designer Ruedi Külling. This watch was his idea to transmit the design of the Swiss railway clock to wristwatch format and named "Offroad".

Although Xemex is almost unheard of, the watches can be admired at the London Design Museum and the Guggenheim Museum in New York as well as in the Chicago Museum of Architectur design. Furthermore, XEMEX in 2000 and 2001 occupied the first place in design competitions in Germany and in the USA. The watches combine high-quality design with comfort and bring the designer an international recognition.

I have purchased it from the original owner back then several years ago and it has been on my wrist for a regular rotation. The movement is a modified and decorated ETA 2894-2 and kept time well about -8 to +6 seconds a day. I am not sure if it was certified by COSC but "Chronometer" was stamped on the dial.

The case is in good shape with 40 mm diameter which is perfect for most of the wrists and the chronograph gives a good sporty looking.

A interesting review video about another model of XEMEX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZPIbIZq0zo

Watch and box only (the pillow is not included). The condition of the watch is good and shows signs of wear and swirls.

This rare watch is currently for sale on https://delraywatch.com/xemex-offroad-bauhaus-chronograph-on-special/ for $1399 USD + duty + tax for like more than $2000 CAD.

I am asking for a very reasonable price at $900 plus shipping to find its next owner who will appreciate the beauty.

Received couple offers but still far away. Trades are also welcome. If you look closely, the dial is very similar to Speedmaster

Just read about some interesting facts from Tag Heuer about the same movement of Xemex:
"The ETA 2894-2 was released in 1996 and appeared in the TAG Heuer range that same year. The Calibre 17 is an ETA 2894-2, and is closely related to other TAG Heuer movements, including the Calibre 7, Calibre 11, Calibre 12 and the Calibre 360. The Calibre 17 is available in two variants- a two register chronograph (2894-A2 with running second at 3 o’clock; 30 minute chronograph register at 9 o’clock; date window at 6 o’clock), such as the Carrera Jack Heuer 80 (above), or a three register Chronograph (ETA 2894-2) that adds a 12-hour register at 6 o’clock (see the Monaco re-edition).
