For sale, a Panerai Radiomir Chronograph Ref. 00288, acquired on this forum last month from well-respected member “renmnoyan”. This 45mm beauty was a New Old Stock acquisition by Ren from a local Canadian AD, which I purchased from him directly, unworn, with the stickers still on the caseback and deployment buckle. I have left the stickers on the deployment but removed the sticker from the case back (but will include it).
As New Old Stock, it had not previously been worn, and I have worn it on probably 5 occasions since purchase. It is therefore in essentially mint condition, including the OEM alligator strap and deployment. I can see no blemishes other than a tiny hairline on the polished bezel ring at around the 8 o’clock marker, which is visible in the picture showing the non-crown side. The lighting has to strike it from a certain angle in order to see the hairline, and I positioned the watch accordingly to accentuate the hairline for the picture. If not mentioned, you likely wouldn’t know the hairline is there when handling the watch.
The pictures were taken the day of this listing. Included is a wrist shot for size perspective on my 6.75" wrist, and a picture of the Panerai online registration of this watch showing the model and its serial number. This registration in my name will have to suffice as a replacement for papers which did not come with the watch when received. Of course, Panerai would not have accepted the registration if it were anything other than genuine. The last picture in the sequence below is of this model captured directly from the Panerai registration page, so that you can get an excellent view of the dial and case without reflections.
According to the Panerai registration, the warranty on this piece expired on 5/13/19. The watch has been maintaining what I consider excellent time. The movement of course is COSC-certified. Manual winding is silky-smooth, and the chronograph pushers operate solidly and decisively, with precise zeroing of the chrono hands. Only a Panerai service box will accompany the watch, as pictured.
Sell for $6750. Equivalent value trades considered or plus-cash trades. (Please no inquiries as to what trades I'd consider. if you have something to trade, kindly say so. The worst I can say is no.)
