The watch has just received a complete service from an authorized Seiko watch maker.
The Seiko 6138-0011 is one of the first releases of Seiko's dual-register 6138 chronograph movements. Seiko dubbed this model the "Yachtsman," but the “UFO” name eventually won out by enthusiasts because of its lugless shape and 44mm size. It is definitely a chunk of stainless steel. This one is from August 1971 and comes on a Seiko after market bracelet.
2 sub-dials of different dimensions count minutes and hours with a sweep second hand operated by 1 start and stop pusher, and 1 reset pusher.
The 2 Pushers work as intended as does the day and date.
It is in quite nice shape as seen by the photos, and runs and keeps decent time.
As it is a 50 year old watch it is sold as is with no guarantee.
Would like to trade for newer Seiko Diver in excellent shape. A Seiko SUN065 would be ideal.
