"Insufficient privileges to reply here"

I am new to CWC. I saw this sentance at the end of a posting. What does this mean? Do I need to be further vetted? I want to have everything set up, so that I do not miss possible purchase.

"Insufficient privileges to reply here"

Things your wife says when you talk back! Sorry, wrong game... Dammit, Steve Harvey.

It means you can't reply to a WTB or a FS ad. If you are interested, you have to direct message that member. Click their username, then "Start Conversation":

Then say, "Hi! My name is [your name] and I really like the [watch brand and model] for sale. Here are all my questions about it:"

Then, when they reply and if you are satisfied with their answers you say, "Thank you. I can firmly offer $[something reasonably close to asking], including shipping my postal code, [your postal code]. If that works for you I can e-transfer you today. What email address should I use?"

If accepted, and this here is an important part; send the e transfer. Don't then "think about it" or "talk to your wife". Think about it, talk to the authorities, get a permit, whatever else you need to sort out first before making an offer.

Finally, don't make an offer "on your way to the airport before a 4 week vacation where you have no internet access." Or anything like that...

That all may sound obvious but you would be surprised how many don't realize this simply good etiquette when transacting.

Not doing anything wrong. If you’re seeing this in the For Sale forums it’s because you don’t have posting privileges there. (But you shouldn’t be replying directly to a sellers post anyways). If there is a watch you’re interested in just click on the sellers profile and “Start Conversation”
