Hey folks
Up for grabs, is a truly badass timepiece, with some serious functionality.
Unbeknownst to most, and a largely overlooked lineup from IWC, the Aquatimer presents an accessible and robust option to the dive watch category.
Throw in a chronograph complication, with a FLY-BACK function and you got the best of both aviation and submersion in one wholesome and badass package.
Most watch enthusiasts typically associate bronze dive watches with Panerai, though this Aquatimer provides you loads more, at a fraction of what a Bronzo would run you.
This watch is in overall excellent condition having been serviced by IWC earlier this year and was cleaned up as well during the process, yielding a beautiful golden hue to the entire case.
Measuring at 45mm, and 16.9mm in thickness, it wears well on my 7.3” wrist with its lug to lug of 50mm, similar to the last gen Planet Ocean.
The bezel is just as unique as the rest of the watch, with its outer ratcheting grip that IWC has dubbed their SafeDive system.
The water-resistance on this timepiece is 300m and is suitably paired with generous super luminova on the handset, markers and sub seconds hand.
Powering the watch is the 89365 cal with 68 hours power reserve.
This piece is currently paired to a blue oem rubber with the EasX-change functionality that makes cleaning the watch head a breeze. It also includes an OEM black rubber.
The watch comes as a full kit with box, papers, manuals, original warranty card, polish cloth and service paper work from early 2026, along with the 2 OEM rubber straps.
Retail on this model when available hovered around $15,100 plus tax, while comparables in worn condition hovered over $6,000.
I’m asking almost 65% off retail at $5,555 shipped from the GTA
.
