Up for sale is something you don't see every day nowadays: an IWC Ingenieur 3239-04 with the more desirable white dial, integrated bracelet. An evolution of the Ingenieur SL designed by Gerald Genta.
Watch is in an excellent condition for its age with no deep scratches, except a couple of small hairlines from desk diving. There is a tiny tiny chip on the bezel in between 6 and 7 o'clock that if I don't point it out, you probably won't see it.
Here is a quite comprehensive review of the watch: https://monochrome-watches.com/iwc-ingenieur-automatic-ref-3239-reviewed/
What I love about this watch is its specs that makes it a true tool watch while maintaining the Genta design cues: 40mm diameter, 10mm thick, mostly brushed case and bracelet, anti-magnetic, 120M water resistance. The bracelet mechanism is also quite ahead of its time, with fully removable links through a push system with no screw required.
The watch comes with an OEM short length rubber strap + tang buckle set that costs $500+ at IWC. Currently bracelet can fits roughly up to 7in wrist with 1 full 0.5in spare link that doesn't have a pin yet (I ordered a half link from IWC boutique but didn't know a pin is separate). The pin can easily be ordered. Last time I check, Yorkdale IWC had one in stock.
Service history is unknown, but it winds and runs smoothly.
Warranty card is dated 2013. I think I also have a manual for the 3239 model but it is currently misplaced after my move. If I find it before the sale, I'll include it. If found after, I'll mail it.
This might pretty much be the most accessible modern sport watch that has a provenance directly linked to Genta designs.
Price: $8,000 delivered.
NO TRADE PLEASE.
