For sale is a rare Airman no. 1 GMT re-issue of limited edition of 1000 pieces this one being the 15th piece. Reference GL0158. This re-issue is the most precise up to date to the original Airman 1 36mm from 1953.
This watch was used in Vietnam War for pilots and was actually the first ever gmt watch even before the Rolex GMT Master.
So it has a cool military heritage and an iconic status.
Watch comes in the original 36mm size but wears like a 38mm 10.8mm thick 46mm lug to lug and 20mm lugwidth. Very true to the original one. Has an acrylic crystal like a real vintage watch solid caseback, bi-rotating bezel lockable on the 2nd crown. Glycine kept the case proportions as original as they could with this re-issue. Powered by Sellita Swiss movement. Super-Luminova lume, gorgeous lugs from profile, These watches are hard to get and they are available on ebay ranging from 1200 -1600. One also on chrono24 for 1.6k. Strap shows a little sign of use after i wore it several times. Other than that it is a brand new watch!
Was bought in december with 2 years warranty by authorized dealer. Absolutely mint condition, comes with everything and even the original military wooden box that were sent to soldiers in Vietnam. Very cool watch if you are into military/field watches. This is an icon that deserves its own place in the watch world.
I will price it fairly for 950, strongly prefer a F2F in GTA. But can also ship across Canada. Buyer covers shipping and paypal fees of 3%.
