Up for grabs is one of those “if you know you know” watches. This Panerai Luminor Submersible is an early and increasingly collectible reference known by enthusiasts as the “Pica Sub”. What’s sets it apart is the distinctive fully polished bezel without minute graduations between numerals (an uncommon feature exclusive to early Submersible models produced between 1998-2000). This particular piece is an A series, which is the first year of production with only 1500 units made, making it especially sought after by collectors.
This example also has some stunning tropical patina that has developed overtime from its distinct tritium dial, only known from this era of Panerai.
