Pristine 1978 Gold twin quartz 9943 Seiko Grand Quartz

Proving that Seiko has been making luxury quartz watches since the beginning. This 1978 Grand Quartz is in exceptional condition. Features the "gold nugget" dial which is just mesmerizing. Twin Quartz movement was rated to 10 seconds a year, but currently runs as a normal quartz, about 15 seconds a month, depending on temperature. Quick set date works perfectly, English and Kanji. Seconds hand hits the markers dead on, no wobble. Watch measures a comfortable and elegant 36x42x11mm. Original bracelet is buttery soft.

Only the faintest swirls here and there. Comes with vintage Seiko box (not original). Asking $950 delivered Express Post anywhere in the country.

Just to explain the watch not running to spec: it keeps excellent standard quartz time. However, it would need to be regulated to return to its original 10 second a year accuracy.
