I have for sale a rare 1930's Gallet & Co. Dual Dial Doctor's watch. This watch has been fully serviced and is all original, except the strap. I contains a 7 jewel manual wind Gallet Movement. The Doctors watch ( invented by Rolex in 1928 ) was simply designed to separate the seconds hand and place it below the hour and minute hands so Doctors could easily time pulses on patients. A Doctors watch in itself is not so rare, but this Gallet has a second separate dial where most similar watches placed the second hand below on the same dial. The case measures approx 21mm by 41mm so its a good size for a vintage watch. The s/s case is in very good shape. There is some slight pitting between the two dials near the plastic crystal edge. The top dial has discoloration but was left to keep originality. The hands are blue and are in great shape. It comes on a brown leather 16mm strap with the fold over ends as the spring bars on the watch are permanent. This rare and unusual watch would make a nice gift for someone graduating medical school !
