Rolex Daytona in 18K Yellow Gold Ref. 16528. Zenith Movement, Canadian Box & Papers….
Does it get better than this?
This watch has been a safe queen and rarely worn, sitting in a safe for years. The watch was originally purchased in Dec of 1992 from La Swiss in the eaton Centre in Toronto. Same owner all the way through.
I believe this is the first all 18K Gold Daytona offered on this CWC and it is collectible and a complete Canadian package.
By my years of experience in the watch business, this watch has not been polished. I have given it a ammonia bath and that is it! The watch seems to function perfect. The crystal has no issues, the dial is an inverted 6 dial which is correct for this period of Daytona. The bezel has all the black painting in tact... this is rare! The bezel has one fleabite near the 120 marker (6 o'clock) which shows in the detailed picture of the dial. In person, very hard to see. the bracelet is super clean with one very minor indent in a centre link but hardly noticeable. This is a clean watch from its era.
So it looks like we have what someone would call a pure collectors package…… The only missing piece is the Green cardboard box which the wooden box sits in.
The only other complete package I have found in many hours of looking on the internet of a N series Daytona in 18K complete was found on chron24 and they are asking over $42K USD.
This is truly a rare package in great shape…..
The ask price for this watch is $39,500 Canadian with certified funds before any shipment commences…. Not really interested in trades unless it really makes sense for me to take a trade in.
