I have a Rolex Datejust 1601 in excellent condition that I would primarily like to trade for an Omega Speedmaster Professional reference 3570.50, or 3590.50. I am hoping to make a straight trade as I am valuing this watch at $4000. I will consider a cash offer of $4000, but again, would prefer a trade as I'm solely letting this watch go to acquire a Speedmaster Professional. Below I have listed all key points about the watch. Please message me for further questions.
- Rolex Datejust reference 1601 dating to 1971.
-Movement is the caliber 1570 and is in excellent working order. Serial number on the watch is still in tact. I had this watch fully serviced in January of 2015. All necessary seals and gaskets were replaced and the watch is keeping good time. Therefor this watch should be good to go for a good few years without a service.
- Dial and hands are 100% original. As you can see in the photos there are no marks on the dial, and zero fading, or discoloration. All lume plots are fully in tact and the lume on the hands perfectly match the lume plots.
- The case is in really good condition with a few minor scratches, consistent of a watch of this age. I do not believe this watch has ever been polished and the lugs are crisp.
- The bracelet is original, but does have significant stretch consistent with age. That said I do still wear this watch with the bracelet and it still looks excellent.
- The crown is original and signed Rolex
- The case back does have an engraving (see photos). This engraving is not deep and can be removed if desired. I personally chose to keep the engraving as I like a watch with a story.
- The domed acrylic crystal is original. There are a few minor scratches on the crystal that can certainly be buffed out by hand.
