Here for sale is a beautiful, classic two-tone vintage Rolex Datejust reference 16233. This particular DJ has a stunning blue dial that jumps off your wrist and really has to be seen in person. These blue dials don’t come up for sale often and the deep blue sunburst contrasts wonderfully against the warmth of the gold bezel projecting luxury and that vintage vibe. Notice the patina on the date wheel for a little bit of that extra vintage look.
This particular watch was originally purchased in 1991 at Frank Damiani Jewellers in Woodbridge, ON and includes the FULL KIT. Not only does it include the original outer box, green box and papers but also has the 3 extra booklets and the calendar card with leather wallet just as it would have come 28 years ago.
The watch has been worn and is not a safe queen, there are definitely signs of use as you would expect for a well-loved vintage piece but the watch is in great shape. The bracelet does have some stretch as many of these Jubilee bracelets do.
In terms of the movement this watch was sent to Rolex in May 2019 so includes the 2 year standard international warranty that comes from a Rolex service and will no doubt run beautifully for many years to come.
