Hi friends,
i've got a chance at a Grand Seiko, so i'm posting my much loved SKX009J and mod extras to finance the purchase. Ideally, this will go as one whole package to a fellow SKX enthusiast/modder. There is a complete watch here, as well as parts to execute another really cool mod if someone had the time or inclination. Really this is basically *two* watches, but no additional skx case and seals. I *might* consider breaking up some of the parts here, but time is of the essence and i'm quite hesitant to do that. All or nothing at this point. So, included is the following:
1) Modded SKX009J on a brand new, unworn, Hodinkee Red Clay Leather strap (short size!). Strap hasn't even been mounted on the watch. Mods include: coin edge bezel, signed red "S" crown, artificially faded insert and patina treatment on the hands and lume plots (from shadowwatchmaker - photo is from him of my watch after completion), and "top hat" crystal. Currently a 7S26 movement is in the watch, but watch also comes with a NH36 movement with matching patina day date. Dial has "made in Japan" on it. The watch is about 3 years old and is unpolished. It has character, but no significant dings or dents. Comes with some old straps, including a navy blue nato.
2) Brand new, unused, unopened NH36 movement.
3) Brand new, unopened, uninstalled Kanji Day Wheel for NH36 movement.
4) Gold Coin Edge Bezel, uninstalled and unused.
5) Gold signed "S" crown, with NH36 stem(s), unused, uninstalled
6) Silver coin-edge bezel, unused, uninstalled
7) Unused, mint condition SRP green turtle dial This is from the limited edition "sea grapes" turtle model. I was going to build up a mod with it, but alas, the GS calls. This is an incredible dial!
8) Green ceramic bezel, unused
9) Pepsi Ceramic Bezel (glow in the dark indices), unused.
10) Green Yobokies chapter ring (metal), unused.
11) Parts from original watch, including old bezel, crystal, and crown.
12) Bezel removal tool
Modders, rejoice - there is lots here to keep you interested, and a heck of watch to wear about town.
Price is set to $995, EMT payment preferred, references required. Buyer pays shipping. I am available to Skype if you want visual confirmation or inspection of *any* of the above items and I can send pictures of any part from any conceivable angle, so please don't hesitate to ask. Don't ask me to part these out yet, please. Low-ballers will be politely ignored.
