Rolex Submariner Date 16618LB 18K Yellow Gold

$25,000

"A" Serial 1999

*****Unpolished*****

Comes with original inner and outer box, original COSC Certificate, hang tag, owner's manual, Rolex warranty card dated 09/17.

Crisp case edges and lug holes. No bracelet slack at all, clasp is factory tight. Original dial, hands, crystal, crown, etc, etc. Beautiful brushing on lugs and original bracelet. 14 links in total including 2 end pieces.

This watch received a complete service at Rolex in Toronto in SEP 2017 and comes with a 2 year international warranty from Rolex. They DID NOT POLISH the watch at my request, and also mentioned in writing, that this was the first time that this watch had ever been serviced since it was sold new.

Located in Calgary, Alberta.

Private sale......no tax if sold in Canada.......no trades thanks........payment by BANK TRANSFER ONLY..........purchaser is responsible for shipping/taxes/duty as assessed upon importation, if sold outside of Canada, as this watch is also advertised elsewhere.

Replacement cost for the new version is $39,250 CAD $ + tax, and what you can buy it for depends on you and your AD.......the cheapest realistic comparables on chrono24.com start at $17,000 USD and go to $20,000 USD........once you convert $17,000 USD to CAD $ and pay the 5% duty and 5% GST, plus freight and brokerage, you are already around $24,000 CAD landed here, without getting it serviced (another $800-$2000) plus box/papers (another $1000) adding HST/PST, and, if it doesn't have all the bracelet links like my watch does, those are roughly $500 each as well.

Here is an amazing "unpolished" original example of the classic blue "sunburst dial" 18K gold Submariner at the bottom of it's depreciation curve, in absolutely spectacular condition with nothing more than very minor desk diving marks on a couple of the PCL's.

I'm reluctantly selling my "grail" because I'm buying a platinum day date from my AD, so this has to go to make room. Don't ever try on a platinum Rolex, because once you do, it's game over !!
