Here's an example of one of the last mechanical watches Seiko made in the 70s, after the Grand and King Seikos had been discontinued. This Lord Matic is "Special" for a number of reasons. Officially, it's because the movement was regulated to high precision. But also, you have this gorgeous linen dial (with gold toned LM marker) and a case reminiscent of mid-70s Grand Seiko. This case looks unpolished (the edges are super sharp and the surfaces are not pristine). When I purchased this from a vintage dealer in Asia in the spring, he told me he had serviced it and it runs exceptionally well, just about 5 seconds off a day. The day/date quick change works perfectly.
Comes on a bracelet that while not original, looks a lot like it and is very comfortable. Also included, a new Flucco goatskin strap (black with white stitching).
