I am testing the waters a bit on this piece as it’s a recent acquisition, however, to be frank, the watch is too pristine for me!

Never in my life have I personally seen a vintage Rolex that exudes this much style, character, balance and patina’d perfection. The 16800 has the condition of a safe queen coupled with the patina of a daily.

The watch has been to Damiani Jewelers where it was determined to be 100% original.

The 3035 movement is running flawlessly. I do not have the service records, but the watch is running within CSOC spec, and there are service markings on the caseback.

The dial is matte and flawless. Original tritium developing perfectly. The hands match the dial flawlessly.

And then there is that pearl! That beautiful original pearl nested in the ghosted Bezel that defies all logic and reason by not only surviving all these years, but for being what can only be described as the colour of perfection if perfect was on a colour palette.

Bracelet is original with very minor stretch. Despite being in stellar shape, I do not believe the watch has ever been polished. This may be subjective, so please look at the photos.

Well. That officially beats the 3 hour record the Tudor set a couple weeks back.

OHPF.

You just bought yourself a little slice of perfection.

I only had 48 hours with you. But 16800. You will be missed.

Thank you to all the collectors who reached out and thanks as always to CWC.
