Available today is this recently discontinued model of the iconic Omega Speedmaster. This Ref. 311.30.42.30.01.005 is the more historically accurate version of Omega’s famous Moonwatch, featuring the domed Hessalite crystal collectors love. This watch is sold as a complete set including the inner and outer box, papers, Moonwatch in space booklet, bracelet change booklet, speedmaster seahorse paperweight, tachymeter scale jewellers loupe, 4 additional strap options (one from Aaron Bespoke, master craftsman here in MTL) as well as the balance of the factory warranty through September 2025.
This Speedy is powered by the now discontinued manual-wind rhodium plated Omega Calibre 1861 which ticks away at a frequency of 21,600 beats per hour. This 48h power reserve movement is very reliable and has been serving moonwatches since 1996.
This watch has been worn with care and is in excellent pre-owned condition showing just some minor surface signs of wear with no dings dents or fleabites throughout. The watch has been worn mainly on straps which leaves the bracelet in near mint condition. A couple surface level marks can be seen on the hessalite crystal in certain lighting conditions which are difficult to get on camera. No deep grooves or scratches to declare, just trying to be as transparent as possible, I would give the crystal a 9.5/10 rating.
