The reference 4100 is the more subdued (in size) companion to the 5402, but in solid 18k gold and steel case and bracelet, it has some serious presence on the wrist. This example's true majesty lies in its gorgeous dark grey tapisserie dial. Very rare model and prices of Gerald Genta's vintage Royal Oaks keep climbing up. This is not your boring steel Rolex Professional model
Item Condition: Used; however, it remains original bevels (didn't request refinishing while serviced). Some scratches on the case, bezel and bracelet from regular use. All hallmarks, serial number (inside of case back) and case number are clearly visible. Service history: FULLY SERVICED by Swiss Watch Services in Ottawa as they are the only Certified Service Centre for Audemars Piguet in Canada (see official AP website). Service included: Decasing, dismantling of the movement, checking, cleaning of each component, replacing worn or damaged parts, lubricating and regulating movement, NO polishing, new gaskets, observations for several days, new AP signed crown due to WR (the original unsigned crown will be included). Service cost approx. $2,200 CAD!!! No investments needed for years.
Dial and hands: original (untouched) dial, original lumi; original minute, hour and second hand; hour hand had some cracks from 50 years of service, which was addressed during last service.
Bracelet: Original with sharp edges. It fits my 17,5cm wrist OK.
Box and Papers: Service AP box, Service Papers.
Warranty: 2 year after service (service done SEP 2021).
What's Included: Watch, AP service box, service papers and original crown.
Movement: automatic.
