I have bought and sold literally dozens of Bell & Ross watches over the years. They remain one of my favorite all-time manufacturers.
When I have tired of wearing them, I have never had much issue finding them new homes. Until now...
I have not worn this watch in at least 3 months. It is just sitting there in my safe... It was purchased brand new from a Canadian authorized dealer in January, 2012. I am the second owner of the watch, having purchased it about 6 months ago. I was tricked a bit bit the first owner, as he sold it to me on a well used rubber strap with a stainless steel buckle instead of the correct pvd one. I have since put on a BRAND NEW strap.
B&R takes chances with their designs, but they are not a "fashion brand". These are extremely solid and well made timepieces. Ask anyone who has ever worn one!
If you look at their website, you see an incredible commitment to their design elememts, and their execution is outstanding.
This "Compass" model shows the time by the turning of 2 concentric dials. It is rather intuitive to read. It is also ultra-cool and attracts a lot of attention.
Am I the only one who like it? lol.
The watch had a $5800 list price, and it likely cost the first owner more than $5000 after taxes.
I jumped at the chance to own one. And a Canadian one no less.
But alas, I have had trouble finding it a new home. I did have numerous cash or trade offers when I first listed it, but I always thought I could do better. I was wrong. I sold it on ebay not long ago for $3100 ( a big loss), but the buyer never paid...
It must find a new home. If you have ever thought about giving it a whirl, now is the time. At this point I will be happy to net out $3000. I have sold far less valuable B&R's for more than 3k!
I will consider trades, but I would rather not at this value point.
Cheers!
