Greetings watch lovers.

I am selling what is the finest watch that I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

A Girard Perregaux Minute Repeater circa approx. 1895. This chronometer grade movement is one of the finest you will ever see. It has all of the best features of the watchmakers art. Highly finished with Geneva stripes, anglage, black polish, perlage, polished jewel sinks.

But what sets this watch apart is the quality of the chimes. A rare and happy confluence of physics has made the marriage of this case with this watch produce magical sound quality second to none. I have listened to dozens and dozens of minute repeaters, and I would rate the quality and purity of the sound from this watch a 9 out of 10, and this for all modern watches including Patek Phillipe.

Another amazing feature of this watch is its unparalleled accuracy. I am please to report that this watch is one of the MOST ACCURATE that I have ever owned bar none. It is operating at about +2 seconds per day and super consistently. Really its a breathtaking achievement for a hand-made movement from the 1890's.

This watch was purchased about 18 months ago from Master Watchmaker Sham Agayev of Kansas City Missouri. Here is Mr. Agayev’s website: https://www.agayevandsons.com/
I have only worn this watch 2 or 3 times, so it is as perfect as the day it was purchased.

All functions are working perfectly. Stopwatch function. About a 35 hour power reserve. Superb dial and hands in flawless condition as far as I can tell. Case is about 50mm dia and is super comfortable on my 7-1/16 inch wrist. I love the band, it is robust with a great buckle that holds the watch securely.

Please see video link attached to review the functions and listen to the chimes.

I am asking $8,500 OBO. No trades please.

One more thing, this is the FINEST WATCH that you may ever own. Cherish it, you will not find another like it in your lifetime!

I just conducted a accuracy test of this watch in order to present the results to the board. The watch is keeping essentially perfect time. Faceup, achieving about +1-1/2 seconds per day. From my recollection this would be the most accurate watch that I've ever owned.

Truly remarkable.

Whoops correction. Not as accurte as my old Seiko spring drive SPS007. But for a conventional escapement, probably the most accurate.
For a movement that's at least 100 years old, Truly astounding!

Ladies and gentlemen, Rest assured that this amazing watch is indeed maintaining an accuracy of +2 seconds per day.

All in all the finest watch that I have ever owned. Dial and hands are spotless and impeccable.

Almost free to a good home for a price of $7500.00.

I've just had a long conversation with Sam Agayev, the master watchmaker from whom I purchased the watch. Wonderful man he was so very helpful.

He provided the following information:
-The movement was manufactured in about 1895, signed
-The movement does have a reference number underneath the dial
-Girard Perregaux does not keep an archive of their movements
-The dial is original, And also signed
-The movement is has about 465 parts
-In his opinion this movement is the cleanest and in the best condition of any he ever worked.
on considering its age
-The case alone if you were to have it made would cost $4000
-Movement alone is worth at least $10,000 in this condition

I hope this helps
Regards Gary
