SOLD: GMT-Master II 116710 BLNR

I've come to the realization that my 116710BLNR is too stylistically similar to other things in my collection, so I wanted to trade it out.

I am looking only for a black dial Daytona 116500LN. As such, I'll add cash on my end to make a fair deal.

Given that this is my first deal on this forum, a reference can be provided. Additionally, I will try to gain permission from my AD to do the exchange there, where the watch was purchased.

It has fine hairline scratches on the clasp, and a few stray ones on some other links. I did my best to photograph them. God knows why Rolex insists on polishing such a scratch magnet steel. All of these are cosmetic, and none are deep. There is no damage to the watch otherwise.

It was purchased on 2018/07/16, as such is quite new and has a lengthy time left on its warranty. There is no name on the warranty card. The watch comes with box, papers and original tags.

I'm hoping to get a Daytona with box and papers, like my watch has. Looking to do a face to face deal in the GTA, again ideally at my AD.

Trade value is set at 22k.

Bump!

I'm trying to find a way to help make it clear the authenticity of this watch.

If anyone is interested, we can send it to Rolex from any AD, and Rolex will send it back with an authenticity letter. You can be there when I pick it up, thats the best I can come up with, and I think thats fool proof assurance for any potential buyer. I would also be happy to let you take your time inspecting it personally, I'm not here to take advantage of anyone.

As an aside I would also be open to trading for an 116520 black dial as well!

Bump!

A user messaged me expressing concern over the trade value set for this watch... Let me be clear I understand thats not what the sale value would be. canwatchco asked me to set a value, so I set it to the upper limit of Chrono24s valuation tool.

I understand that if it were for sale 19k would be the absolute ceiling of its value. In fact people have offered me less and I have responded that if I decide to sell I would be in touch. If someone asked me if its worth buying a BLNR for 22k I would stop them. I just put that value in as a stopholder.

I think what potential trade partners would care about is the cash on top.

For a 116500LN, my budget is ~6k on top.
For a 116520, my budget is up to ~1k on top.
I hope these are not unreasonable.

If it helps, feel free to consider the trade value at 20k or even 19k, but my budget is what I guess is important to me and you.

Hope that clarifies! I did not intend for the value to be so contentious :D

Bump!

If my offer is lower than you would like, but you have a watch for trade, let me know, I would be happy to adjust!

Bump!

Got some reasonable offers to buy, someone had also offered me a 116520 before I knew I was okay with it but sadly they traded before I made up my mind.

Since Daytonas do not come up often, seeing if I can trade first.

Upping the cash on top:
For a 116500LN, my budget is ~7k on top.
For a 116520, my budget is up to ~1.5k on top.

Feel free to make offers if you have a different amount in mind!

Bump! Going to open this up for sale. I'll put the sale value at $18,900. Message me if you would like to negotiate on that number!

EDIT: On hold, pending funds.
