Up for sale is a Grand Seiko SBGR057. This watch features more brushed surfaces than your typical GS, making it more suited to daily wear. Like a Datejust meets Aqua Terra, but with better finishing than both.
This watch was originally purchased in Mar 2018, and has been worn sparingly in rotation. You’ll find some hairlines and swirls here and there, a few small fleabites, but overall, this thing looks minty on the wrist. It plays with light better than any watch I’ve ever owned.
39.4mm, with a 72 hour power reserve, the caliber 9S65 beats away inside, and is running strong. I timed it yesterday at -1s/day. The movement used MEMS technology, as well as Spron, among other reliable, beautiful Grand Seiko innovations. The bracelet is very comfortable, better than I ever expected. The sides of each link are hand-polished, and you can feel it on the wrist and in the hand. The Zaratsu polished accents are incredible. As for the handset and markers, they make watches far more expensive look absolutely pedestrian. Far nicer than my Rolex, truthfully.
Comes complete with box and papers, and all bracelet links w/half links.
