Going up for sale today is this offering from the Grand Seiko Four Seasons Collection, the SBGH273 Shubun "Autumnal Equinox". The midnight blue dial appears almost black in the low light, but reveals its true colour and subtle texture in the sunlight, to great contrasting effect relative to the golden second hand and GS logo. This one is powered by the 9S85 hi-beat movement, housed in a very confortable and appealing 62GS case, measuring 40mm in diameter, 47mm lug to lug, and 12.9mm thick. Contents: This is full kit, with inner and outer boxes, rice paper wrapper, outer sleeve, certificate of inspection, user manual, completed warranty booklet, hang tag, and microfiber pouch. Warranty is dated February 23, 2021, and thus qualifies for the longer new 5-year warranty term, giving you four whole years of remaining coverage.
Condition: Aesthetic condition is very good. Some scratches here and there on the case, as captured in the photos in unflattering fashion for full transparency. Wears very clean in person, with the marks having gone unnoticeable on the wrist to my naked eye. Bracelet has some light scratches from regular wear, but nothing out of the ordinary. Bracelet is currently sized for my 6.5-inch wrist, and includes two extra full links, plus two half links.
Price: Asking $6375 shipped and insured through Flagship. Only prior comp on CWC was posted for $6500 plus shipping, for a 2020 example under the old 3-year warranty term. Retail is $6300 USD / $8200 CAD.
