This is the first ever manual wind spring drive in stainless steel.
Part of the elegance collection from the Shinshu Watch Studio
The same facility as houses the Micro Artist Studio is home to the Shinshu Watch Studio where all other Grand Seiko Spring Drive watches are made.
The overall design is classically Grand Seiko; understated and refined with the sharp hands and hour markers that allow the delicate interplay of light and shadow that is an essential part of the Grand Seiko signature.
In order to incorporate the beauty of nature unique to Japan, the dial is provided with a radiant pattern that is truly spectacular in person, and much more detailed than can be shown in even the best of photographs.
A new Spring Drive caliber, 9R31, which has the same dual mainspring structure as 9R02 and the same high precision rate of one second a day and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours.
Exterior
Case Material : Stainless steel
Glass Material : Dual-curved sapphire crystal
Glass Coating : Anti-reflective coating on inner surface
Case size : Diameter 38.5mm × Thickness 10.2mm
Band Material : Crocodile leather
Clasp type : Three-fold clasp with push button release
Movement
Caliber no. : 9R31 Instructions
Power reserve : Approx. 72 hours(3 days)
Water resistance : Splash Resistant
Magnetic resistance : Equipped
Weight : 65.0 g
The condition is near mint - with only some wear showing on the strap hole used.
Most of the time this was worn an a Delugs strap - and the piece was worn in a large rotation and only when dressing up (which, with Covid was pretty much never for the past 18 months)
Hoping my other pieces will sell so that I can keep this one -
will negotiate - but have a quick look at Chronos24...I know it is often detached from reality - but this is the lowest price on the planet right now for a very limited piece that is a first of its kind..
