SOLD: IWC IW5000 limited edition 958/1000 Panda dial. Rare piece.

For trade is this very rare limited edition 958/1000 IWC IW5000. This watch was only available for 1-2 years after baselworld 2000 and it was very difficult to source. Today you see one pop up for sale about every 4 years and usually not in this condition. The Portuguese 2000 contains IWC's gorgeous in-house movement, the Calibre 5000, featuring a patented Pellaton winding system and 7 day power reserve. The case is in basically mint condition with no damage to report. It comes with 2 straps in a beautiful hand finished wood box and the watch was also recently serviced. The watch and box are both stamped with the correct LE number. I am unsure if the warranty card is from servicing or if it is original to the watch as it is not filled out.

I go see a lot of watches and this one feels a bit "extra" special. The plastic domed crystal gives it a retro look which mimics the real vintage Portuguese. This is one of the nicest automatic movements I have seen and I don't know if something else that competes with it in this price range. The movement has an incredible depth. The 7 day power reserve is a pleasure and the reverse panda dial is well done. I can see why this 1000 piece limited edition is so well loved by collectors.
