While the AT-38 is one of my favorite watches to wear right now, I picked up the 2020 Black Urushi dial and no longer need this satin black.

The AT-38 is entirely Japanese made, assembled and sold by the Micro-brand Knot who focus exclusively on promoting domestic production. The case is made by the renowned Hayashi Seiki Seizo company, known for their Seiko/Grand Seiko case work and Sallaz(Zaratsu) polishing. The light play on the polished sections of the case show this, while the brushed portions are perfect. A classic Japanese design and a very wearable 38mm with 45mm Lug to Lug, 18mm Lug width and 10.5mm thickness.

Expect the usual benefits and quirks of a Miyota 9015. Rotor noise not significant for a 9 series, accuracy well in spec see picture.

Watch comes with 2016 Warranty card(expired), manual and branded SS bracelet.

I especially enjoy the dial on this model, the stainless markers/hands highly polished and faceted for nice reflection contrasting the very subdued black satin dial. This makes for acceptable reading in mediocre lighting conditions. The second hand counterbalance design is nice also. Under magnification the dial and hands look clean and well finished(see macro shots). Note that the date wheel is not a standard white.
The engraved crown is a good size(5mm), and the band fully adjustable with double quick releases(pinch), also a nice touch.

That's the good, here's the not as good.
The bracelet is very comfortable and completely adjustable but the clasp is difficult for me to operate one handed with my arm in the air due to the weight, usually I rest the watch to secure it. The keeper while tight and functional feels a bit mushy going into place. The lack of end links fails to compliment the work they put into the case. I would go looking for an aftermarket option if I was staying with stainless but I think the watch is better on leather. Your experience with the bracelet may be different, feel free to let me know.
Watch lacks the drilled lugs of later AT-38 models, although some prefer the dressier look.
Plenty of hairline scratches and a couple of dings on the polished bezel, but since I don't have a Sallaz machine handy I decided to leave it be. In the first pic, look how it still reflects the fuzz on my glove.

The current MSRP is ¥60,000 , the bracelet ¥6000. Essentially an all Japan Miyota 9015 powered watch at 38mm, AR coated Sapphire with serious case credentials. If you want to try one new, the Yen hasn't been lower in a long time and you can bring one home under 800CAD after import, or you can buy mine and see what you think of this brand!

I'm asking $325 F2F in Kelowna area or plus shipping. As always while I'm supposed to be selling I'm also a degenerate watch hoarder so interesting trades are welcome. Thanks!
