For Sale: Vintage Lecoultre Powermatic
I’m currently looking to sell my vintage Lecoultre Powermatic Cal 481 which I’ve owned for a few months and love, but just doesn’t get enough wrist time anymore. This is a bumper automatic with a fully functional power reserve. It comes on an 18mm strap that is short and just fits my 6.75 inch wrist. Before you buy please read everything about the watch below.
The Good:
Movement is absolutely 100% original and in great working condition. This is a Lecoultre branded movement and watch which is identical to the Jaeger LeCoultre Powermatic sold in Europe. The name change was for import tax purposes but is otherwise identical. The dial is untouched as far as I know, and is also original with some really nice patina.
The power reserve function works perfectly, and will recharge with manual winding of the crown.
The Not So Good:
Call it a frankenwatch if you want. The case, caseback and crown are not original and the one of the hands may not be original either.
Crown stem was recently replaced by me.
Service history is unknown.
