**First time trading/selling here (but long-time WIS and lurker on several forums) – please do kindly let me know if you need any additional information or if I forgot anything (I've read the rules and stickered posts carefully, so I hope there's nothing hugely wrong)! For serious traders / prospective buyers, I’m willing to vid call /phone call and share my business school e-mail address + LinkedIn, etc. etc. and do what’s necessary to make you comfortable, especially if you are a past buyer/trader with long history and recs.
Looking to TRADE or SELL an Omega 2503.80 39.2mm Aqua Terra Blue Sunburst Dial Co-Axial 2500. I’m looking to trade roughly even for a BLUE Omega SMPc 41mm (212.30.41.20.03.001), with perhaps ~$250 CAD (negotiable) from my side to you if the Blue SMPc is running within COSC, is relatively clean, and has the adjustable clasp already installed. If yours doesn’t have the adjustable clasp, it’s NOT a dealbreaker at all; the clasp would just be cool to have (but I can just get it myself at the Boutique).
Not interested in trading particularly up or down at the moment, but feel free to suggest some even Omega trades if you want (not interested in any other brands at the moment as I’m filling an Omega hole). Reason for trading for a blue SMPc is that the Brosnan Bond vibe has picked up within me again – and although the Brosnan Bond SMP 2531.80 has the beautiful wave dial, it just doesn’t seem as modern as the Blue SMPc (hahaha but this is a point I flop around a lot on….). I will be rather picky with trades as I’m pretty set on a Blue 41mm SMPc, but feel free to pitch stuff as I said.
Not particularly looking to sell, but will sell at a (slightly) higher sale value (when compared to trade value) for $2950 (CAD) through PayPal G&S – I’ll swallow the 3% fees. Price marginally negotiable as usual for all fair offers. NOTE THAT I AM CURRENTLY IN THE U.S. AND WILL ONLY BE BACK AT THE BELOW DATES TO TORONTO, BUT CAN SHIP EARLIER FROM THE U.S. TO CANADA IF YOU REALLY WANT! WATCH Details:
Bought in July/August off reputable used market dealer, after over half a year of sourcing for this specific 2503.80 model (If you read my first ever post here, you'll see that I discussed acquiring this 2503.80 back in the day). Took to the Omega Boutique in NYC to be checked out and had bracelet adjusted. NO B&P, but I have an Omega warranty card with matching serial numbers to the watch – case serial number has been covered by my thumb (but is clearly visible) and card serial number has covered with my pen. Also have Omega hangtags (see Imgur). Watch is currently sized for a 6.5 – 6.75in wrist with 4 extra links left out, which you can have. Again, no B&P other than matching Warranty Card.
Took pressure test and 6-point inspection then in July/August – see imgur album for those test receipts. Amplitude, time keeping, and pressure testing are all good. Was running barely outside COSC specs (of -4/+6) back then at -5/day and right now is still running barely outside COSC at -5/day when fully wound (expect -5 to -7 in depending on position and time worn, etc.) to the best of my estimates at the current moment. Again, watch is barely running outside of COSC but passed pressure test (last tested in July). I expect that a service can’t hurt if you intend to keep this watch for very long.
Also: All functions (date quickset, date change at midnight, hacking, etc.) work well.
Watch has been well cared for but also worn regularly – see last two images of the Imgur album to see the scratches from regular wear on the bezel as well as the bracelet. Bracelet has regular desk diving marks (see second-last Imgur image), and bezel has light marks that are all very hard to see except in the right light. There is ONE easily visible hairline mark, between 10 and 11 – again, check the LAST image of the Imgur again to see this. Bracelet has virtually no stretch and clasp functions perfectly.
In addition, having looked closely at the movement, I’m 99% sure it’s a 2500B even with my naked eye (if you know where to see this, you can see the 2500A/B/C/or D under a good light even without a loupe), which is cool as the 2500B basically the only 2500 Co-Ax movement that has a 28,800 bph and works properly (the A has issues needing service, and the C/D lower the bph to 25,200).
