The day has come. I'm financing my MBA, and though I will again see this watch in my collection, it is time for it to be cherished by another.

This is the 1950 style case prototype. Produced in 2002, released in 2003. And made its way into countless 44mm and 47mm variants thereafter including the legendary 203.

This watch is regarded by many Paneristi as the watch that launched Panerai into the broader collector market from more of a niche brand.

This particular example is the quintessential collector find. Watch is 100% complete. Including seldom seem mailer with model details and even the original hand written caseback sticker (though faded given the age and being marker on plastic).

Serviced by Madison Ave Panerai in NYC in 2012.

Owner name is blank on AD stamped warranty card. So, very rare opportunity to be the first registered owner.

I will take the time later to list everything the set has, as the box set due to the size is currently housed in a temperature controlled off site storage unit.

The original buckle remains in NOS condition as I have 2 and the first has never been mounted. I have roughly 25 OEM straps that can work with the owner should they want something off menu to add to the set.

Watch case rates at 95%+ and unpolished condition.

The watch as it came from the dealer (2 straps, full triple box set (weighs 10lbs) and all papers available for $19,750 delivered nationally to established CWC members. Face to face showings in Toronto Canada.

More photos to follow.

There has been some great interest and inquiry to date. Please note I'll be away on business May 11th through the 31st, and I'm not carting a 15lb SE box in my luggage. In. The event a deal is not struck by May 10th, the sale will be postponed.

Side note. Please be weary of undocumented 127's. eBay is littered with $12,000-$15,000 replicas.

I posted a fairly high resolution photo of the movement which makes identifying these fakes a little easier.

Be careful and happy collecting all!!!

Looks like the 127 may soon be changing homes. Just sorting the details.

I however have a few other rarely seen Panerai soon to be available for purchase. Including the 161 and 170.

The legendary 127 is on its way to its new home. Congrats to the new owner and thanks to all that expressed interest in this piece of Panerai history. And as always, thanks CWC.

I'm going going to have to change my avatar photo now!
