For sale is a black dial, D-serial, Rolex Explorer II in excellent condition. This is a fantastic watch with GMT function that is built like a tank.
I'm the original owner. Watch was purchased from a Rolex authorized dealer in August 2013 so there are 14 months of Rolex warranty left.
This watch was worn sparingly, primarily during international trips. There are a few minor hairlines on the clasp (shown in the pictures) from desk diving, one faint hairline on the back of one of the lugs from a bracelet change, and very fine hairlines on the case back. Lugs are nice and sharp and obviously, this watch has never been polished. Crystal and bezel are in perfect condition.
Neat thing about this watch: no cyclops! It's been fitted with a genuine non-cyclops Rolex service crystal (see crown on crystal for mark of authenticity) and pressure tested. The original crystal is part of the package if you want to go back to the cyclops-look.
All links are included with the stainless steel bracelet and I'll be including a custom-made carbon fiber strap with leather trim by k-straps (fits a 7-7.5 inch wrist) that is in like new. It comes with a genuine 16 mm stainless steel Rolex buckle (original package included). I'll also throw in a lightly used black Panatime NATO strap (the watch looks awesome on a NATO).
All boxes (outer white box, green Rolex box, watch box), green and red hangtags, Bezel protector, and papers included. I'll also include a Rolex travel pouch and polishing cloth.
Current model retails for $8700 + tax.
