Up for sale is this classic Rolex Explorer 14270 purchased in 1998 but with T serial which dates the watch to 1996.
Purchased this past January directly from world renowned watch collector/dealer, Eric Ku. As much as there’s a bit of sentimental value considering I met him in person to pick this up, I need to clear out space for a new incoming as I’ve decided to stick with a modern collection moving forward.
This is a complete collectors set with boxes and more papers than you’ll ever need (original receipt, service receipts as well as cut out ads of the explorer back from when it was purchased), as well as tag and two extra links (9 on the watch currently. Total of 11 links). Eric purchased it from the original owner, making me the third owner of this watch. It was serviced by my local watchmaker in Toronto shortly after I returned therefore this watch is in perfect running order for at least the next ten years and on.
Appraised in June by Damiani for $7500, I’m asking $7100 including shipping to anywhere in Canada. Pretty firm on my asking as I’ve received an offer from the US in this ballpark however I’m seeing if there’s a local collector who’d like to keep it in the country before shipping it out. Sorry NO TRADES as I need the cash for my incoming. Thanks for looking!
