DESCRIPTION
The prominent part of this Rolex GMT Master 1675 is the pink bezel and the serial number in the 1.8 million range. That's why this watch bears the name Pink Lady and is very popular and sought after among the vintage collectors.
The GMT-Master offered here has the MK1 version of the dial, which is also called "Long E" in the professional circles. The reason for this name is the long middle line in the letter "E" within the inscription "ROLEX". Another rare feature of the dial of this particular watch is the luminescent in the hour markers and hands. The tritium has a white (now faded) colour, which ensures an unusual and attractive overall appearance of the watch. Some of the Lume had flaked off so when it went for service Rolex cleaned out the flakes..The matte black surface is in excellent condition with a few marks here and there.
The name "Pink Lady" of this Rolex GMT-Master 1675 is due to its bezel color. The insert has faded to a wonderful pink-blue hue and gives the watch an attractive vintage look. The Oyster case is in a great condition with only a few signs of usage and it's free of worth mentioning scratches. The thick profile of the lugs and their honest surface suggests an unpolished case. All functions of the movement caliber 1570 have been checked and are working properly.
This Rolex GMT-Master 1675 is accompanied by an original Rolex Vintage fold over Oyster bracelet, which is correct for the era of this watch.
Today it is very hard to find this legendary pilot's watch in great condition.
Serial number: 1.862.xxx (1968)
This watch has been serviced at Rolex Canada… Receipt included and being returned to its owner Feb 27, 2020. (invoice date)
The watch comes with an extra link shown with the invoice at the top right and the green service pouch also shown it the same picture.
This is in the collectible side of watch collecting…. Not because it’s a Rolex, because it is a time period piece in very nice but faded condition. Case has sharp edges and the watch has not been worn since the return from Rolex Canada…
So the few people who have shown an interest in this watch have all commented on the dial being lumeless on a few of the dots…. This was done when the watch went in for service at Rolex Canada…. So I have been searching the dials on the internet and to replace this “Long E” dial on the web, it can be had for $2500-$3500 for a perfect version. So I will reduce the price of the watch by that amount for those who wish to replace the dial….
I will now offer this watch for $15,000 plus insured shipping or FTF in the GTA.
This watch in this vintage doesn’t come around too often…. Please no ridiculous offers…. Im just tired of the experts telling me what to sell them a watch for…. Professional PM’s will be dealt with…
I have also included a REDONE DIAL which is now installed on the watch. The original dial comes with the watch as well.
