Born in 1998... not yet of drinking age in the States, but can drink anywhere in Canada.
Let me preface by saying that I personally know the previous owner, and I personally know the person that bought it for him as a gift.
This watch was purchased originally at a Montreal area Rolex dealer.
When delivered to me the boxset no longer contained the warranty paper or spare links. Everything else was in there including the correct hangtags (with correct serial number). The papers and links were put away for safekeeping a long long time ago. No idea where they are safely sleeping, but may end up surfacing at a later date. No guarantee on that, though. I added in a new spare link that I had in stock, so I suspect that it is now short only one.
It has been worn frequently over the years in rotation with a handful of other arrivals... less so in recent years, but still worn frequently enough and often for a week at a time.
No service history.
The watch has small dings, dents and scratches on case, bezel and bracelet that are the result of careful rotational wear over a long period of time. By no means a safe queen, but no abuse. A couple of tiny crystal edge chips. TINY. A little bracelet stretch, not a lot. Serial and reference numbers between the lugs are still crisp. I would even guess that when I removed the bracelet today I was probably the first to have ever done so.
Look closely at my photos. If needed I can send you the full size ones.
It has been running on my desk for the last 6 hours and it has not lost or gained a second, but that does not mean that a service is not imminent.
I would be proud to wear it as is, but that is your choice.
I would prefer a cash deal, face to face, but may consider other options.
I am seriously contemplating keeping it for a while, so it may get pulled.
Asking $8375
