For sale is an absolutely stunning example of everyone’s favourite classic - the Rolex Submariner 16610.
As most of you know, this is the gold standard in the luxury sport watch category, and they aren’t making the goldilocks size of the 5 digit variants anymore.
Brand: Rolex Submariner 16610
Year/Serial: This is an A serial watch from 1999
Dial: Rare “Swiss” only dial variant, only in use between the Tritium and Super Luminova phase in the 1999/2000 timeframe. Something a bit different than the standard “Swiss Made” dials.
Box/Papers: The full box set as purchased from AD. Included is the cardboard outer box, green wood inner box, watch pillow, suede wrap, operating instructions booklet, Rolex Oyster booklet, service booklet, warranty papers, all extra links, swimpruf tag, Rolex polishing cloth, and Rolex anchor. Literally everything. This is a full collector’s set.
Strap/Bracelet: Drilled lugs for easy strap changes! Comes on the classic Rolex oyster bracelet, one of the most comfortable on the market, with the Oysterlock clasp and full set of 13 links. Very little stretch and in overall great condition for its age.
Condition: Amazing condition for its age. To my eyes it does not look like it has been polished, but potentially may have had a light touch up at some point. Chamfers are visible and lug holes are deep. It shows signs of light wear on the bracelet and clasp, but it is nothing that a light polish will not remove (I do not polish my watches).
