Up for sale we have a 6139-7010 from May 1970 in amazing all-original condition. This model is said to be the most uncommon 6139. It is the only 6139 with Arabic numbers on the dial. Apparently, these were handed out to the Japanese military (Self-Defense Forces) at the time. This example is a beautiful one. The matte black dial is mint and free of fade from exposure. The printed markers are crisp and the original luminous plots have an even, warm patina. The hour and minute hands in black and white show no paint loss or chipping, and match the luminous plots. The chronograph hands are the original vibrant orange. The day can be toggled between English and Kanji by pressing inward on the recessed dimpled crown. The case is unpolished, and the original factory edges and finishes are still intact. It’s completely original aside from a replacement crystal. The watch is running well and the chronograph function resets to zero perfectly and crisply. For additional pictures, please reference my Instagram account @seikoandotherstuff. Asking $1000 obro.
