For your consideration is my Seiko Grey Ghost Titanium Diver SBBW049 (Case Code: 5M43-0B70, c. April 1996).
This is the early version with the AGS on dial, a somewhat rare watch. The beautiful sandpaper dial is mesmerizing. The lightness of the titanium and the great proportions make this perfect for daily.
Details (and more photos) follow after the first photo.

Features:
  • Full titanium case and bracelet which is very light and comfortable on the wrist
  • Kinetic movement 5m43, holds up to four months of charge when full, power reserve can be checked by pressing the 2 o'clock button.
  • 39mm without the crown
bezel is 39mm, case when measured between 4 and 10 hour markers is ~40mm
case when measured from crown to the end of bezel at 9 hour marker is 43mm

· Drilled lugs for easy strap change (but I love the titanium bracelet on it!)

Overall Condition: Very good condition with no deep scratches and no dings, please refer to the photos and ask for more if needed.
Case and bezel: Very good condition. Bezel rotates smoothly.
Crystal: Some scratches on crystal near 8 minute marker (I would leave it as as it it adds to the character of this titanium beauty but should you wish to replace, the OEM crystal is ~C$40 and I can provide the part number).
Capacitor: Capacitor was upgraded to a new lithium-ion battery in January 2020
Bracelet: Beautiful Seamaster-esque bracelet which currently fits my 6.75’’ (with one micro adjustment hole to go) plus 2 spare links (complete with 2 pins/2 collars).
What's included: watch only. No box, no papers. 2 spare links.

An avid enthusiast of these AGS divers has written very informative post at “Seiko Grey Ghost lineage and the SBBW AGS Titanium divers”
There is also a very informative article on the Seiko Kinetic movements at "The Seiko Kinetic: Boon or Bane?"
You can also find a few reviews on YT if you look up Seiko Grey Ghost.

Price is C$450 net to me, I prefer F2F in Toronto area.

When launched, Seiko AGS watches were ~¥70,000-85,000 yen respectively (c.f. the 4S15 Alpinists, aka red alpinists, amazing high beat movements by the way, which were priced ~¥33,000 yen). Consequently, the quality of the dial, of the indices, and of the the overall watch is higher than the contemporary Seiko entry-level mechanical divers in my opinion. Posting a wrist-shot below to tempt those on the fence. I am reducing the price to C$400 but that is the lowest I will go. Considering the history, the tech, and the amazing titanium build, I think C$400 is a very reasonable price! I will be withdrawing the watch if I don't get any bite at C$400. Happy hunting fellow WIS!

Back FS. Need this gone to make space/funds for a 8F56 backup watch for my 8F56 Seiko alpinist (8F56 movements are amazing but delicate!).

One time price reduction to $C350.

Now is the time if you had your eyes on this advertisement!
