For sale or trade, a Seiko Prospex Automatic Diver with Blue Dial and Rubber Dive Strap, model reference #SRPB53. Case diameter 43mm excluding crown and crown guards. Wears like a 42mm. Case thickness is 13.5mm. Lug-to-lug distance is 48mm.
Purchased brand new January 24, 2020 from an AD. Carefully worn indoors no more than 4 or 5 times, therefore still in virtually new-like condition. In fact, you'd be challenged to tell this one from brand new, even close up. Original box, booklets, warranty card, etc. to accompany, exactly in the condition received from the factory. Purchase this beauty and you’ll have that “new watch unboxing” experience on delivery.
This is the current version of the Seiko automatic diver (aka Samurai) featuring an in-house 23-jewel automatic (4R35) movement, date display, torch-bright luminous hands and applied hour markers treated with Lumibrite, large screw down crown, uni-directional bezel with luminous pip at 12:00, Hardlex mineral crystal, and a solid etched, screw-down case back. The blue factory plastic is still on the case back.
The 4R35 Seiko movement is a self-winding workhorse and can be hand wound and hacked. The movement has a 41-hour power reserve according to specs. Everything works as it should.
Comes on it's very supple factory Seiko dive strap with a heavy, solid steel tang buckle and steel signed keeper. The blue dial has a stunning waffle pattern texture. The hands are modeled on those found on the Seiko monster series. The Pepsi bezel with its contrasting red and blue segments is very sharp-looking.
