Every so often Panerai releases a model that becomes iconic or synonymous with something or someone.
The C-series Pam63 became known as the Tom Cruise - 1500 produced
With the E-series PAM127 became known as the Fiddy - 1950 produced
And with the H-series PAM214 was born The Statham
Statham along with other celebrities began wearing the Italian brand as it defined itself during the early 2000's. Though Statham took this one step further, wearing his own watches in his movies including this particular model worn in The Mechanic.

I'm not entirely sure why the 214 over other Panerai he has sported in films over the years including the 213 and Daylight below.

But Rattrapante models have always been special. Panerai typically produces 1000 rattrapantes a year with models being made for a few years before something else being introduced. The 214 being the only radiomir Rattrapante Panerai ever produced to my knowledge.
Enough history, let's get to the watch of the hour.
