For your consideration is my Tudor Black Bay Blue with the ETA movement (ref #79220B).
This watch was purchased by me in November 2017 from the local AD here in Victoria, BC.
It has been my daily watch since then and, as such, shows signs of honest normal use, including scratches on the case, clasp and back of the lugs from bracelet swaps (who doesn’t?) and a few fleabites on the bezel. The crystal, however, is mint.
This reference includes the superlative Tudor-branded nylon strap in navy (with spring bars). I am also including two Crown & Buckle Chevron nylon straps, in slate grey and harvest tan (lug width 22mm). I have worn all three in sparing rotation.
The sale also includes all the goodies you’d expect from a single owner modern watch, including inner & outer Tudor boxes, manual, warranty card, microfiber cloth and travel pouch. I have the original invoice & warranty card from the AD, but the two-year factory warranty has since expired.
Reason for selling: I love this watch but I’m really missing a date function, so will be using these proceeds to help track down a suitable replacement. We’ve got a young family so I’m currently operating on a one-in, one-out policy.

*The rivet-free, “almost” Oyster bracelet
*Slimmer case than the current in-house movement
*Easy to service ETA movement
Things you should know:
*Scratches on case & clasp from normal daily wear
*Flea bite on the bezel between the 8 & 9 marker
*A critical eye would see that the bezel pip aligns just left of the 12 o’clock marker. It came from the factory like this and never bothered me, but it’s worth noting.
Buy this watch if:
*You want a handsome, non-nonsense, do-it-all daily driver
*You want that classic vintage Rolex/Tudor diver vibe but with modern conveniences
*You’re tired of the Black Bay Blue 58 waitlists and hype… buy this and get the ORIGINAL Black Bay Blue!
