Hi All,
FS is a pristine condition Tudor Oysterdate Chrono-Time Chronograph. Lovely Champagne Panda dial with black sub dials.
Rare transition model, 79260, Oysterdate (NOT Prince Date) with the case and crown by and marked Rolex.
This model came immediately after the big block watches. The case is slightly more rounded, very similar to the 116520 Daytona of the day.
It wears much nicer and more comfortably than the previous gen big block watches.
The Tritium Oysterdate dial is perfect and appears to be a carryover from the previous generation 79160 big block. There's a strong familial
resemblance to previous generation 6263 Daytona.
It has an improved version of Tudor's Vajoux 7750 movement with the rotor engraved "Special Tudor" and gilded.
The Tudor 78400 bracelet with proper 605 end links is in great condition with no discernible stretch.
The watch runs flawlessly. I've had it at Rolex Toronto. The tech there opened it up to have a look inside. He said it looked fabulous and all was as it should be. I don't know the service history
but I usually wear watches in two week stints and time them against my Iphone and it's dead on accurate with two days of reserve.
The B805XXX serial number dates this to 1996.
I do not have any box or papers but whoever owned this previously must have only worn it occasionally and carefully.
$5650
